Hip Hop No Homo

I was watching LOGO the other night and came across this No Homo segment. No Homo is a phrase coined in Hip Hop to distance oneself from any gay reference.

Example: "Dude! You are getting more diesel, No Homo." Translated I am admiring your muscular physique but not in a homosexual way.

Kanye West is about the only rapper to publicly denounce gay bashing in lyrics. Remember when he publicly supported his gay cousin a few years ago?

This could be a brand new area of building relations between gay and homophobic Hip Hop groups.

Rapper: "Does this gold chain, shagging jeans and my incessant use of misogynistic images of women make my butt look big, No Homo?"

I wonder if Gay guys can use this to our advantage.

Gay Guy: "Dude I would like to break you in proper, No Homo"

Straight Dude: Thanks man maybe after work.
