There have been rumors that family members of Whitney Houston do not want Bobby Brown at the private service to be held this Saturday in New Jersey.
“Whitney Houston’s funeral will be held at noon on Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark,” Carolyn Wigham, the owner of the Wigham Funeral Home, told reporters Tuesday. New Hope is the same church where Houston honed her powerful voice in the choir.
There is no drama like Black folks funeral drama. It just seems to bring up all the unreconciled energy. I know I had to have several cousins pull me off of my Step Fathers butt the night of my Mom's funeral. I can't imagine what kind of drama Bobby Brown is going to create.
My heart really goes out to Bobby Kristina and Sissy Houston. It is traumatic losing your mother at any age but Bobbi is so young. Also my grandmother once told me that the most unnatural thing is to outlive your children so I cannot imagine what Sissy Houston is going through dealing with the loss of her famous daughter.
Bobby Brown issued an email statement to ABC News, stating:
"My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," Brown said in an email statement to ABCNews.com Tuesday. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and I just hope that Whitney Houston is layed to rest with the dignity and respect the Diva deserves.
