Basketball Wives: Two Slaps and A Thumbs Up

Guys you know I am a total media whore.  I know people have their own opinions when it comes to reality television.  I also question the cultural contribution of some of these trash shows but sometimes it's just too much drama to ignore. 

Enter VH1's Basketball Wives, the brainchild of Shaunie O'Neal.  You know Shaq's babies momma and recipient of a very impressive divorce settlement.

Basketball Wives is a Miami-based reality show which chronicles the lives of former NBA wives and girlfriends as they negotiate the local social scene and their messy, high-profile relationships.

I am not sure if they should call this Basketball Wives or Basketball Banshee's...lol.

Shaunie has gathered a gaggle of very drama driven divas who share a taste for athletes.  Among the most crazed of the group is non other than Tami.  You remember Tami Roman from The Real World.  Well she is all grown up, divorced from some basketball player and continuing her crazy antics as a reality television star on Basketball Wives.

Shaunie shared with Fox News that “When I started the show I really just wanted to follow this group of ladies around. We all have a common bond; we understand each other’s lives. It started as that. Since then, it’s taken on a life of its own,”  A life of crazy, gossiping, drink throwing, cat fighting heifers....lol.

“I never imagined it would be a group of ladies fighting and arguing that way that they do. That was never part of the plan," continued Shaunie. 

Yeah right, you know this show was a perfect formula for nothing but mess and drama. 

I vowed not to get caught up. But you know how they get you? You are minding your own business when you change the channel and they are running one of those weekend marathons.  You swear I will just watch a few minutes and then ten hours later you have not bathed or  moved from the couch.  You are hooked!  

The season climax is sure to please as Tami takes it to the ass on new girl Meeka.  Watch and you be the judge!
