I had to work this morning so I was pressed to get home in time to view the televised private homecoming of the Diva, Whitney Houston.
My partner had started taping it but I got home just in time for the service.
The service was a who's who of famous folks and family friends all celebrating the life, music and memories of Whitney Houston.
I did not understand the eulogy since it did not seem to mention her name once.
This was very difficult for me to watch as Black funerals are in general very emotional and it brought up too many memories of my Mom's passing.
I really lost it during Cece Winans song. It is amazing that a song named "Don't Cry For Me" gets the absolute polarized response. This has been an emotional day for me and anyone who was a fan of Whitney Houston. RIP Diva!
It was a good send off
