The Avengers Age of Ulton Trailer has been released and I keep watching it over and over again. I have not been this excited about a film since the first Xmen movie was slated to be released years ago.
I just want any world order event like an Eboli outbreak to be post poned long enough for this film to be released. Yes I am comic fanatic!
The Avengers Age of Ulton Trailer movie trailer boast a roller coster ride of action and thrills but the real reason I am so psyched about this film is they are finally bringing forth one of my favorite characters the sexy, red haired, vixen of spells and probability, The Scarlet Witch!
You guys know I love me some Divas so I am so glad we get to finally see the Scarlet Witch! She will be joined by her white haired speed demon brother, Quicksilver.
They have been prepping us for Scarlet Witch in both Xmen Last Days and the last Captain America film.
Captain America was not one of my favorite comic book heroes and really the only reason I got into him at all was when he was with the Avengers.
I was not aware of the origin of this movie from what comic book but it was still some good storytelling. I did not feel like I needed a lot of backstory to follow the plot.
First of all Captain America is mad buff in this film! Black Widow kicks some major butt in this flick.
But what I was really excited about is that we have two Black heroes in a big summer blockbuster in Nicky Fury and Faclon played by the equally handsome and hunky Anthony Mackie! Dude is really turning into a new Hollywood powerhouse.
This film starts off with action and pretty much keeps a steady pace throughout the film!
Sidenote you know you are a true comic book film fanatic when you realize you are the only one left after all the credits have rolled to reveal what is basically part of the comic book film formula, the final scene.
I could not suppress a comic book squeal when it was revealed that finally one of my favorite Avenger's, the Scarlett Witch was finally introduced along with her fleet footed brother, Quicksilver!
I am so giving a very loud comic book geek squeal. I know I prayed to live long enough to see the first Xmen trilogy but now I am amending that to include the new film in the Xmen saga, "Xmen Days of Future Past."
This film will allow us to see a young and future Professor X and Magneto. This looks like it is going to be an absolutely action packed thrill ride as the mutants battle Sentinels. We also get to see some new mutants added to the mix including Sunspot, Blink, Cable, Warpath and Quicksilver.
But enough about all of that the real reason I am stoked about this film is that we have a return of the Weather Diva herself, Storm!
After being very disappointed in how little they let Storm use her full power in the Xmen trilogy it looks like Storm is finally going to get to kick some elemental ass in this film!
This summer is going to be an absolute visual fest for comic book geeks! Join me in a great big geek squeal! The new Thor: The Dark World movie trailer is out!
Was it just me or did the first Thor movie really not show how bad ass Thor is as a superhero? I mean Thor really got to bring the lightning and pain and showed up and showed out much more in The Avengers film!
Well in Thor: The Dark World, our hero returns home to Asgard only to find it and the Nine Realms, including Earth is under attack my an ancient race of Dark Elves. So Thor decides to bring his Earth boo, played by Natalie Portman, who usually gets on my nerves but was actually pretty funny in the first Thor film.
It looks like Loki returns in the new film. Let's hope we get to see some real magic from the master of sorcery. I mean that mirror thing gets tired after the first 10 times. I've seen more impressive magical powers from Tabitha on "Betwitch"...lol.
I just hope we see a reoccuring role of Thor's bare chest in the new film....lol
Check out the trailer and tell me what you guys think!
Xmen and comic book fans join me in a joyful geek squeal!
The new trailer is out for The Wolverinewhich I believe is the sixth film in the Xmen series.
The Wolverinehas hunky Hugh Jackman reprising his role as the adamantium claw weilding tough guy of the Xmen.
It looks as if the film will take place in modern day Japan. I wonder if this means we will see Yuriko? You know Wolverines beautiful asian boo that eventually undergoes a similar procedure and goes all "I Bust the Windows Out Your Car" with my new adamantium claws....LOL.
The film does seem to feature Silver Samurai.
I have already checked and unfortunately there will not be a Storm cameo in the fillm so I am totally not right about that decision.
Anway I am looking forward to seeing The Wolverine! Are you?
You guys know that I love Divas and other than Patti LaBelle, Storm is one of my all time favorites.
I did not allow myself the pleasure of fantasizing that the character of Storm would be reprised after the somewhat disappointing 20th Century Fox's Xmen trilogy was over.
Anyway I just learned that my secret prayers have been answered and that Halle Berry will return as Storm in the new X-Men: Days of Future Past(the sequel to 2011's X-Men: First Class).
Join me in a big old comic book geek squeal!
Someone sent me a tip on my FB page from The Escapist Magazine where Berry confirmed during an interview with Black Film where she was promoting her latest film The Call, that she would be returning as Ororo Monroe everyone's favorite elemental Diva, Storm.
I love Halle Berry but she would not have been my first or second choice for Storm. Storm is from Kenya and is a dark regal enchantress, Halle sounds like she is from Los Angeles....lol. I think my perfect version of Storm would be a young Iman.
I thought in the Xmen: The Last Standfilm they were finally going to let Storm cut loose, you know really kick Jean Grey's ass by throwing a Tsunami or Hurricane on her telekentic tirade but as usual they suppressed the real fiercness of this weather witch.
Well I recently caught up with my Xmen: Days of Future Past series on my IPad. Big shout out to Mike Wirth for turning me onto the Ap....lol.
All I can say is good luck with trying to craft a storyline from the Days of Future Past series because it is all over the place. Hollywood likes to muck up timelines and comic book movie conversions anyway so they will have a field day trying to decide which storyline to follow.
The Days of Future Past series includes Magneto, the Shi'ar's Imperial Guard, The Hellfire Club, Proteus, The Savage Land, Alpha Flight, Sentinels and Dark Phoenix. The list goes on and that was just the first comic book in the X-Men: Days of Future Past series.
Berry shared that she was not sure how extensive Storm's role will be in the upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past but if the producers and creators know what is good for them they will finally allow Storm to open up a big old can of weather whoop ass in this film and finally show just how powerful this elemental Diva can be.
I have not been this excited about a film since the X-Men series! I got up early Sunday morning and caught the first show at 10:00 AM. I missed a few of the previews which really pisses me off due to a very slow concession clerk.
Armed with my popcorn, soda and smuggled milk duds I took my place in a strategic spot for maximum viewing pleasure. The crowd was decent but not overcrowded.
"The Avengers" film brings the team together including Hulk, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain America and my personal favorite Thor.
Loki has teamed with an alien race and seeks to bring a war to Earth. The Avengers all join forces to defeat Loki, the master of lies and sorceror supreme. While we are on the subject if he is suppose to be a supreme sorceror can we see some other tricks other than his duplicating himself or holograms? I am just saying.
This film does not disappoint. The action in the film is as one of my students Sakatos would exclaim, epoch...lol. Samuel Jackson is perfect as the surly Nick Fury of Shield.
The Black Widow kicks butt in this film, what she lacks in super powers she more than makes up for in inhuman fierce fighting skills. Iron Man is his old wise cracking maverick self with some updated armor. Captain America seems to be more comfortable in his skin and has some very cool moments. My favorite is Thor who gets to really cut loose and unleash his god like wrath in some very electrifying scenes. Disappointingly Thor has his shirt on for the entire film...lol
The film balances crazy action scenes, emotionally tearful moments and hilarious comic releif.
My best moments are with the Hulk. Hulk has evolved as a character as he is now able to Hulk up at will and still maintain his Banner personna. The funniest moment in the film is when Loki is going off on a rant about his god like status to the Hulk and the Hulk just body slams him over and over the howling laughter of the audience.
I did enter this film with attitude that my other original Avengers' characters were not present like Ant Man, Wasp, Vision and my girl The Scarlett Witch. Hopefully we will see some of them in the inevitable sequels to come.
Sit back relax, enjoy the action and watch Hulk Smash in" The Avengers!"
Guys I stumbled across a new cartoon channel and a new animated series treaure.
Join me in a big old comic book geek squeal for Young Justice. The series chronicles the events of all the side kicks (side note they hate that reference) from members of the Justice League.
You have Kid Flash, Aqua Lad, Super Boy, Robin, The Martian's niece, a girl Green Arrow and many more interesting characters.
My guilty pleasure is coming home and watching an episode online to catch up with the more than 20 episodes I have not seen.
If you are a comic book fan like I am you will definitely love the series!
I am still salty that the film does not include some of my favorite Avengers like Ant Man, Wasp, Vision and The Scarlett Witch but at least we have Iron Man and Thor to stare at during the movie...lol. Enjoy!
