Class Is In Session: Riding Dirty

Hey guys so I got some bad news from the editor at Creative Loafing that due to new ownership and recent budget cuts my Class Is In Session video blog has been put on hiatus just when it got started.  

I was really frustrated at first but did not want to lose any momentum so I am self-publishing the next episode. 

Like many of you I had to recently deal with getting an inspection sticker, tags, car taxes and the dreaded DMV.  But since I did not address these issues in a timely manner I had been "riding dirty" or not street legal for a month. 

Join me in the frustrating, manic and paranoid quest of getting my car street legal.

Professor Locs Celebrates Over 100,000 Visitors!

Hey guys when I started my blog a few years ago it was just a few close folks who would stop by and see what quirky things I had to say or share.  Who knew a few years later that the Professor Locs site would have more than 100,000 visitors.

I have experienced so much in that time frame.  I have lost loved ones, been laid off but I have also experienced wonderful opportunities.  I have had a successful partnership with Q City Metro, been a guest host with Ramona Holloway and I am also writing for Creative Loafing. 

We will also see the launch of my book that will be a collection of some of the most provocative articles I have shared on the site!

I am so blessed for what this blog has done for me.  I am even more thankful for all of the readers who have supported me historically and continue to inspire me to write and share the world through my filters.

Hey guys I am so excited to announce something I have been working on behind the scenes for awhile now.  We have all heard the saying "When one door closes another one opens" well that has definitely been the case for me. 

I am a new colunist for Creative Loafing!

When I was laid off in September I became very focused about expanding my brand and deciding what I would do with this new chapter of my life.

I got an email from one of the editors at Creative Loafing and she said they had been following my work on Q City Metro and wanted to meet with me about a possible partnership. 

I was elated so I scheduled a meeting and it went very well. I submitted several ideas and she chose one that she felt would be the most compelling. 

It will take some getting used to a new editor and their style but I am excited about my new partnership with Creative Loafing.
